2008, will once again see us active in the State supporting many Veteran's activities. The chapter is involved in funerals honoring our fallen comrades, supporting the VA centers throughout the state, running escort missions for deploying and redeploying soldiers, and many other worthy causes. We held our annual ALL PATRIOT'S RUN, on May 24th, 2008. All proceeds went to the benefit of the SW LA War Veteran's Home in Jennings, LA. In spite of all the other events going on at the same time, this event was a great success, as we raised $1700 towards renovations of a 'sports bar area' for the Veteran's home. These guys love their poker so this donation was quite appreciated!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank those that donated either their time, raffle items, or door prizes. we could not have done it without you! In addition to the many selfless individuals, we'd like to thank:

Don Christie of Don's Cycle Ware

Fred Willner of Southern Cycle Parts

Jim 'soos' Soucy of Hundred Dolla Cycle Parts

Walgreen's of Leesville

(if we missed you, it was not intentional, let us know, we'll fix it)

June 25 - 29, we held our National Convention in Spearfish, South Dakota. The ride out there and back was awesome, and the riding in the Spearfish area was some of the best in the country. Plus with Sturgis being a couple of months away, it was mostly us (and 300 of our closest friends) enjoying the roads. This year was the first year of something new: the L.R.R.P (Long Range Riding Platoon). 1000 miles in 24 hrs as a fundraiser. This years beneficiary was the Fisher House. Nationally, the L.R.R.P riders raised over $28,000 for this excellent organization. Make plans to join us next year for our National Convention in Tulsa, OK.

So Welcome, take a look around, and if you would like to be a part of this great association, feel free to contact any of our officers or members. Or just click on the membership info link to the left, or the 'Request Application Form' link above.
